Sam Grund Promoted to Research Assistant

We’re pleased to announce that Sam Grund, who has been participating in LPPFusion’s work as IT Assistant, has been promoted to Research Assistant. In addition to continuing his previous responsibilities in helping to produce videos and carry out other tasks for the IT department, he will now be as well aiding Lerner with data analysis and helping LPPFusion Research Scientist Syed Hassan with laboratory tasks.

Grund is local talent, having grown up in Montclair, NJ. He holds a degree in computer science and mathematics from Oberlin College and brings a decade of experience from the tech startup world to the pursuit of aneutronic fusion with the DPF. While Grund does not have extensive academic training in physics, he has been actively participating in LPPFusion’s Evolution of Physics study group, being trained by Lerner in physics theory and analysis methods and by Dr. Hasssan in laboratory techniques. He also possesses the most essential requirement for LPPFusion work: unlimited enthusiasm for bringing fusion to reality through the development of Focus Fusion.

The LPPFusion research team is confident that Grund’s help, still part-time for now, will speed our work forward. As a result, we are suspending our search for a full-time research team member.

Sam Grund, LPPFusion’s new Research Assistant.
